Signal Dark by SimplyZippy Signal Dark by SimplyZippy
I don't know that it's very noticeable, and I don't know that it matters a lot, but the shadow over her face was made by hands making the ASL sign for "darkness." So there's at least a smidge of concept in here. :D

Model: Heidi, the tiny ballerina.

While no, I wouldn't have known about the ASL sign unless you told me, it's something I love now that I know about it.
Even without it, just as a thumbnail, this was a lovely work.

Wow that's truly awe-inspiring! Actually in fact, I'm deaf and use ASL. I surely recognize the sign for "darkness!" I have to say this, it's so noble, majestic, profound, and touching! Original! Instant :+fav:!!!

Wha...? This is a TRADITIONAL drawing? Made with oil? This is so flawless I can barely believe it, haha. XD Breathtaking color and shading...everything seems so smooth and realistic. The hair is stunning!! And the added touch of the shadow on her face being made in such a way...I LOVE that! ^_^ I'm definitely faving this!

You paint good, woman. I think a little more of a highlight on the chin would separate it a bit better, right now it's hard to tell it's relation to the neck. The eyes look really well painted, but I think the face is a tad small in comparison to the rest of the head. The hairline on the left side should maybe be pulled in a little bit... I really like how you did the hair too. Excellent work overall though. :)
